Did you know that legendary trader W.D. Gann was an astrologer?

In 1914, he was a member of The Astrological Society, Inc N.Y. with Sepharial, George Llewellyn, Frank C Higgins and had associations with Edward Johndro, Luther Jensen and CC Zain. Gann also published a list of recommended books he had for sale – topics included Numerology, Astrology, the Tarot and other esoteric titles such as the Oracles of Nostradamus. In his coded novel The Tunnel Thru the Air he wrote about mediums, clairvoyants and even Atlantis! Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of Sherlock Holmes and The Lost World, is also mentioned, as he was a prominent researcher of Spiritualism in the 1920′s, traveling the world investigating reports of supernatural spirit phenomena.

Do you find it incredulous and hard to fathom like most traders I meet?

Newspaper articles in the 1920′s called W.D. Gann a prophet and a mathematical seer. “Mr Gann has made noteworthy prognostications of the markets which proved to be true in the course of time. His calculations are based on Letters, Numbers and Astrology.” Journal of Commerce, 1921.

“Mr Gann gets calls every day from men and women prominent in all walks of life asking him to cast their horoscope. He tells politicians whether or not they will be elected and solves other problems for clergymen, bankers and statesmen.” The Evening Telegram 1923.

He also cast horoscopes for commodities, one example is his horoscope for Coffee.

Yoga butts
In the foreword of The Tunnel Thru the Air (TTTA), Gann tells you it contains a mysterious and valuable secret, clothed in veiled language. What could this be? I have found, like many others that the study of Gann not only teaches you how to Master the Markets, it opens your mind to the Metaphysical laws beyond our ordinary perception like his Law of Vibration and hidden secrets in Sacred Geometry.

In his later years, we know from some private letters, Gann did disclose his astrological methods to a select few of his private students, especially on trading commodities like Soy Beans, Cotton and Coffee. Astrological symbols are scattered on many of Gann’s trading charts and workings. Gann also constructed his own graphic ephemeris to trace planetary movement along the zodiac, which he called The Path of Planets. Amazingly, he used planetary longitude and aspects to give him price levels!

It has been said that to truly understand the secrets and symbolism in TTTA you need not only to be an astrologer but also a high degree Mason like Gann. In this regard, my research reveals that Masonic rituals stem from ancient Egypt and the Temples of Initiation. We know that Pythagoras was initiated into the Egyptian mysteries and taught the secrets by the High Priests. Gann made trips to both Egypt and India in search of ancient texts where he found the Square of Nine, an ancient system of both Time and Number also referred to as The Pythagorean Cube and the foundation of ancient Numerology.

Why did W.D. Gann call the Holy Bible the BOOK of all books?

From TTTA Pg. 172 ” Robert was a great believer in Astrology because he had found this great science referred to so many times in the Holy Bible. He had made notes as he read the Bible at different times where it referred to Astrology or the signs in the heavens and was thoroughly convinced that the influence of the heavenly bodies govern our lives.”

Pg 175. “Robert knew that the Bible was replete with references that the heavens ruled. He had read where it said: ‘Discern the end from the beginning, where Jesus said, “I will judge you in the place of your nativity.”

“Every movement in the market is the result of a natural law and of a cause which exists long before the effect takes place and can be determined years in advance. The Future is but a repetition of the past, as the Bible plainly states: The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done, is that which shall be done, and there is no new thing under the sun.” Eccl.1.9.

Therefore, if you’ve always wanted to explore the esoteric side of W.D. Gann and not known where to start, Astrology for Gann Traders offers a unique gateway to set you on the path of understanding. Astrology is a science of prophetic universal laws. As you can see, Gann called it the greatest science however it can take many years to understand and apply.

My intention is to immerse you in the Sacred Science of Astrology so that you can discern the future and prosper with foreknowledge. Gain the insights and techniques used not only by Gann, but also those of other Financial Astrologers like Sepharial, Luther Jensen and George Bayer.

It is often said that Knowledge is power, however, I truly believe that Foreknowledge is empowerment.

Sell Jewelry Michigan In The Tunnel Thru the Air on page 78, Gann wrote,” IT IS NOT MY AIM TO EXPLAIN THE CAUSE OF CYCLES. The general public is not yet ready for it and probably would not understand or believe it if I explained it.”

That was 83 years ago, almost a Uranus cycle and time for change and awakening – are you ready NOW!

What does it tell us that female soldiers deployed overseas stop drinking water after 7 p.m. to reduce the odds of being raped if they have to use the bathroom at night? Or that a soldier who was assaulted when she went out for a cigarette was afraid to report it for fear she would be demoted — for having gone out without her weapon? Or that, as Representative Jane Harman puts it, “a female soldier in Iraq is more likely to be raped by a fellow soldier than killed by enemy fire.”

The fight over “Don’t ask, don’t tell” made headlines this winter as an issue of justice and history and the social evolution of our military institutions. We’ve heard much less about another set of hearings in the House Armed Services Committee. Maybe that’s because too many commanders still don’t ask, and too many victims still won’t tell, about the levels of violence endured by women in uniform. (See TIME’s special report on the state of the American woman.)

The Pentagon’s latest figures show that nearly 3,000 women were sexually assaulted in fiscal year 2008, up 9% from the year before; among women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, the number rose 25%. When you look at the entire universe of female veterans, close to a third say they were victims of rape or assault while they were serving — twice the rate in the civilian population. (See the top 10 crime stories of 2009.)

The problem is even worse than that. The Pentagon estimates that 80% to 90% of sexual assaults go unreported, and it’s no wonder. Anonymity is all but impossible; a Government Accountability Office report concluded that most victims stay silent because of “the belief that nothing would be done; fear of ostracism, harassment, or ridicule; and concern that peers would gossip.” More than half feared they would be labeled troublemakers. A civilian who is raped can get confidential, or “privileged,” advice from her doctors, lawyers, victim advocates; the only privilege in the military applies to chaplains. A civilian who knows her assailant has a much better chance of avoiding him than does a soldier at a remote base, where filing charges can be a career killer — not for the assailant but the victim. Women worry that they will be removed from their units for their own “protection” and talk about not wanting to undermine their missions or the cohesion of their units. And then some just do the math: only 8% of cases that are investigated end in prosecution, compared with 40% for civilians arrested for sex crimes. Astonishingly, about 80% of those convicted are honorably discharged nonetheless.

The sense of betrayal runs deep in victims who joined the military to be part of a loyal team pursuing a larger cause; experts liken the trauma to incest and the particular damage done when assault is inflicted by a member of the military “family.” Women are often denied claims for posttraumatic stress caused by the assault if they did not bring charges at the time. There are not nearly enough mental-health professionals in the system to help them. Female vets are four times more likely to be homeless than male vets are, according to the Service Women’s Action Network, and of those, 40% report being victims of sexual assault. (See pictures of an Army town coping with PTSD.)

Experts offer many theories for the causes: that military culture is intrinsically violent and hypermasculine, that the military is slow to identify potential risks among raw young recruits, that too many commanders would rather look the other way than acknowledge a breakdown in their units, that it has simply not been made a high enough priority. “A lot of my male colleagues believe that the only thing a general needs to worry about is whether he can win a war,” says Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez of the Armed Services Committee. “People are not taking this seriously. Commanding officers in the field are not understanding how important this is.”

But there are some signs that both Congress and the Pentagon are getting serious about this problem. It is now possible for victims to seek medical treatment without having to report the crime to police or their chain of command. More field hospitals have trained nurse practitioners to treat the victims; more bases have rape kits. “More than ever,” Sanchez says, “I believe that our leadership at the very top is beginning to realize that they need to be proactive.”

According to a report by the Defense Task Force on Sexual Assault in the Military Services, the progress made so far remains “evident, but uneven.” The failure to provide a basic guarantee of safety to women, who now represent 15% of the armed forces, is not just a moral issue, or a morale issue. What does it say if the military can’t or won’t protect the people we ask to protect us?

KUNDUZ PROVINCE, Afghanistan (Jan. 4, 2012) — In order to build an independent Afghanistan, one of the key objectives of North Atlantic Treaty Organization is achieving freedom of movement by the Afghan National Army. In northern Afghanistan, they became one step closer to meeting that goal when the 2/209th Route Clearance Company, Afghan National Army, or ANA, conducted its first route clearing mission in December.
The Afghan people witnessed the transfer of security take place on their roads. For years, specialized U.S. route clearing vehicles patrolled the roads in search of improvised explosive devices, known as IEDs, and now highly trained Afghan engineers are performing that job.
“Developing independent and competent ANA units is the foundation of nation building in Afghanistan,” said 1st Lt. Eric Madison with the 190th Engineer Company, Task Force Sword, 2nd platoon leader. “Handing off roles and responsibilities from American or coalition forces to ANA is the end state for Operation Enduring Freedom. It’s been an honor to have contributed in training these Afghan soldiers.”
The 2/209th RCC started their training at the Consolidated Fielding Center, or CFC, on Forward Operating Base White Horse, near Kabul. There, Madison and 1st Lt. Jose Hernandez with the 1014th Sapper Company, TF Roughneck, platoon leader, worked as a team to instruct, mentor and supervise the Afghan soldiers.
“The soldiers’ eagerness to learn and their commitment to Afghanistan resulted in intense training,” said Hernandez. “They demonstrated incredible performance and development in both individual and collective route clearing tasks. They were open to feedback and instruction and improved on every mission.”
After six months of training at the CFC, the 2/209th RCC got their assigned area of operation in Kunduz province. Madison’s unit was also located there and was able to support the RCC.
“We trained with them for two to three months before their first mission,” said 1st Lt. Marc Lawson with the 190th Engineer Company, the Kunduz province partnership training officer. “We tailored our training to the specific needs of their commander. He felt there were areas his company could improve on, so we met those needs.”
The areas included proper operating and maintenance of their assigned equipment. Vehicles and radios are critical during missions, and the ANA used the U.S. Army’s preventive maintenance checks and services as their model. A lot of the training required instruction and explanations which presented the 190th Engineer Company with their first challenge.
“I remember one sergeant, who wasn’t their first sergeant but who sure acted like one,” reflected Lawson. “He would organize and push his troops through the different phases of training. He really helped us out a lot during that period.”
Lawson mentioned during the last training exercise, a fake IED was planted on a planned route to see how the Afghan patrol would perform. He said they not only found the device but also conducted all their tasks to ensure safety of men and equipment and then properly disposed of the device.
“Their leaders took charge,” said Lawson. “They used all their equipment correctly and their tactics, techniques and procedures met our standard. There was excitement in the air. They were ready for their first mission.”
Soon after, the 2/209th RCC successfully accomplished their first route clearing mission in an insurgency stronghold west of Forward Operating Base Kunduz, Dec. 10. The mission, named Operation Desert Dragon, was the first ANA led route clearing and show of force mission into the Chahar Darah District as the 190th Engineer Company accompanied them by playing only a secondary support role.
“The ANA went into an area where no ANA had been before,” said Capt. Thomas Gilley, commander of the 190th Engineer Company. “The Afghan villagers seemed surprised but very happy to see the ANA. There were times we had to dismount and walk to conduct clearing and security tasks. As we went through those small villages, the people came out and welcomed the ANA soldiers.”
For months, the 2/209th RCC trained with the 190th Engineer Company to develop and strengthen the RCC’s tactics, techniques, and procedures. According to Gilley, the RCC’s professionalism and performance, during Operation Desert Dragon, was proof that the partnership program works.
Gilley said the RCC conducted several interrogations for possible improvised explosive devices during the operation and their show of force was impressive.
“The RCC did an excellent job,” he explained. “They followed their training and conducted their operations by the book. They proved to me that they’re capable of conducting operations on their own. I look forward to being able to do some more joint operations with them in the future.”
“In the upcoming months, we will see more and more ANA route clearance units conducting clearing operations for their country, and we will continue our partnership training and mentoring with them,” said Capt. Neal Litton, liaison officer with TF Roughneck.
“The effects of Operation Desert Dragon were critical,” explained Litton. “It now shows the face of the ANA wanting to do route clearance missions, oppose to what has been U.S. and coalition forces previously.”
The operation was confirmation that the hand off from coalition to Afghan forces is becoming a reality for the people of northern Afghanistan and the coalition.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 1, 2011 – Calling on the nation to celebrate military families’ service and sacrifice, President Barack Obama today signed proclamations designating November as Military Family Month and National Family Caregivers Month.

“With every step we take on American soil, we tread on ground made safer for us through the invaluable sacrifices of our service members and their families,” the president said in his Military Family Month proclamation.

This month is devoted to celebrating military families’ exceptional service, strength and sacrifice, he said. Their commitment to the nation, he added, “goes above and beyond the call of duty.”

“Just as our troops embody the courage and character that make America’s military the finest in the world,” Obama said, “their family members embody the resilience and generosity that make our communities strong.”

Families are weathering deployments and long separations while serving with heroism in their homes and neighborhoods, the president noted. Military spouses hold down home fronts, children step up to take on additional responsibilities, and parents and grandparents offer their quiet support as they wait for their loved one’s safe return.

“To these families, and to those whose service members who never come home, we bear a debt that can never be fully repaid,” the president said.

Obama cited the Joining Forces campaign as a way the nation can express its gratitude to troops and their families. First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, launched the campaign earlier this year to call on all Americans to support and honor service members, veterans and their families. This support, he added, should continue not just while the nation is at war, but during every stage of service members’ lives.

Obama said his administration is committed to improving military families’ lives by enhancing learning opportunities for military children, aiding military spouses in their quest to advance their careers and education, and improving mental health counseling.

“Our service members swore an oath to protect and defend, and with each step we take on this land we cherish, we remember our steadfast promise to protect the well-being of the family members they hold dear,” he said. “Every act of kindness we can offer helps cultivate a culture of support for our military families, and I encourage each American to make a difference in the lives of these patriots.”

Obama called on Americans to honor military families throughout the month, whether through personal actions or public service. In that way, he said, the nation can honor these families “for the tremendous contributions they make in support of our service members and our nation.”

The president also urged Americans to celebrate and honor caregivers in his National Family Caregivers Month proclamation.

“Across our country, millions of family members, neighbors, and friends provide care and support for their loved ones during times of need,” Obama said. “With profound compassion and selflessness, these caregivers sustain American men, women and children at their most vulnerable moments, and through their devoted acts, they exemplify the best of the American spirit.”

As Obama cited the contributions of all caregivers, he noted the importance of sustaining military caregiver support. “One of our nation’s greatest responsibilities,” he said, “is to ensure our veterans, their families, and their caregivers receive lasting and comprehensive support.”

Obama noted that he signed the Caregivers and Veterans Omnibus Health Services Act last year, which extends additional assistance to family members who care for severely wounded veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan.

“Our military caregivers exemplify the heroism found not only on the fields of battle, but also in the hearts of those who tend to our wounded warriors when they come home,” he said.

This month offers a time to honor the “tireless compassion” of all family caregivers, Obama said. “This month and throughout the year, let the quiet perseverance of our family caregivers remind us of the decency and kindness to which we can all aspire.”
